These terms govern your use of Stubble, a macOS application developed by Sam Attias, trading as Stubble ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using Stubble, you agree to these terms.

What Stubble does

Stubble is an AI-powered time-tracking application for macOS. It monitors your computer activity — including active applications, window titles, and on-screen content — and uses artificial intelligence to generate structured tasks, project groupings, time breakdowns, and personalised productivity insights.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stubble. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

macOS permissions

Stubble requires the following macOS permissions to function:

These permissions are managed entirely by macOS and can be revoked at any time in System Settings. Stubble will not function correctly without them.

Your data

Stubble stores all collected activity data locally on your Mac. You retain full ownership of your data at all times. We do not have access to, collect, or store any of your activity data on our servers.

To generate tasks and insights, Stubble sends anonymised plain text (such as window titles and app names) to the Google Gemini API. Personally identifiable information (PII) is automatically masked before transmission. No images, files, or browsing history are ever sent.

Third-party services

Stubble uses the Google Gemini API to generate tasks and insights. You access this through Stubble's secure proxy service.

Your use of the Google Gemini API is subject to Google's own terms of service. We are not responsible for how Google processes data sent via their API.

AI-generated content

Stubble uses AI to generate tasks, project names, summaries, productivity tips, and other insights. This content is generated automatically and may not always be accurate. It is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for professional, financial, or legal decisions.

Analytics

Stubble collects anonymous, privacy-friendly usage signals via TelemetryDeck. These include events like app launches and feature usage. No personal data, activity content, or identifying information is included. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Software updates

Stubble may periodically check for updates using the Sparkle framework. This sends a standard version check request over HTTPS. No personal data is included. You can choose whether to install updates.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Stubble only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

Intellectual property

Stubble and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sam Attias, trading as Stubble, and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. The data generated from your activity belongs to you.

Pricing

Stubble offers a free 5-day trial with all features included. After the trial, Pro is available at $10/month for continued use. We reserve the right to adjust pricing in the future. Any changes will be communicated in advance through the app or website.

Refunds

If you're not satisfied with Stubble Pro, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase — no questions asked. To request a refund, email info@stubble.ai with your account details. Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days.

Disclaimer of warranties

Stubble is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Stubble. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

Termination

You may stop using Stubble at any time by deleting the application from your Mac. All locally stored data can be deleted from within the app before uninstalling. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Stubble at any time without prior notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will include a notice in the app. Your continued use of Stubble after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
